Dan Cohen

Dan Cohen is an American professor of Catalan, based on Ibiza for several decades. He is the only English language speaker to have studied, in depth, the traditional folk tales of Ibiza, collected in the early to mid-1900’s by the eivissan folklorist Joan Castelló Guasch (and otherwise only available in eivissenc). The Consell d’Eivissa published two English language volumes of the folktales of Joan Castelló Guasch translated by Dan Cohen, called ‘Tales of Ibiza’.
